Human Tissue Compliance and Relocation Consultant
Are you an expert in Human Tissue Authority (HTA) legislation with a passion for ensuring compliance and driving seamless tissue transfer projects? We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Tissue Compliance and Relocation Consultant to play a pivotal role in establishing a satellite HTA site, ensuring regulatory adherence, and supporting strategic relocation initiatives. This crucial position offers the opportunity to influence high-stakes tissue management operations, contribute to innovative biomedical environments, and work at the forefront of compliance excellence.
In this role, you will provide specialized guidance on establishing a new HTA satellite site, managing the transfer of sensitive human tissue assets, and ensuring full compliance with the Human Tissues Act 2004 throughout the process. Your expertise will be instrumental in planning, compliance assurance, risk mitigation, and preparing the new site for inspection readiness, all while maintaining the highest standards of safety and integrity in tissue management.
Required Skills:
- Comprehensive knowledge of HTA legislation and regulatory requirements
- Proven experience with the transfer and storage of human tissues and dangerous goods transportation
- Strong understanding of HTA licensing processes and application procedures
- Excellent risk assessment and mitigation skills
- Ability to develop and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to human tissue management
- Effective project management and strategic planning abilities
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of advising senior stakeholders and Designated Individuals (DIs)
- Hands-on experience with HTA site establishment and compliance audits
Nice to Have Skills:
- Previous experience working within biomedical or healthcare environments
- Familiarity with satellite site licensing and transition management
- Knowledge of business security protocols related to tissue storage
- Experience with internal or external HTA inspections and readiness
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in biological sciences, biomedical sciences, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in tissue regulation, HTA compliance, or biomedical site management
- Demonstrated success in managing complex tissue transfer projects and compliance frameworks
