The Opportunity

Planet Pharma is partnering with a large-scale pharmaceutical manufacturing capital program in Lebanon, IN to identify a BSS-TCCC Mechanical Coordinator. This role serves as the single, reliable source of system readiness intelligence across the full project lifecycle — from design and construction through Mechanical Completion, Commissioning and Qualification (C&Q), and handover to Operations.

The successful candidate will maintain accurate, continuously updated tracking of all assigned system completion, manage the turnover process that transitions systems from construction through C&Q and into operations, and produce clear reporting and dashboards that support schedule integration, C&Q sequencing, operational readiness planning, and program governance. This is a coordination and data-driven role that requires strong organizational discipline, deep familiarity with GMP construction and turnover workflows, and the ability to work across construction, engineering, commissioning, and operations teams simultaneously.

What You’ll Own

System Tracking & Readiness Reporting

  • Maintain system trackers across design, construction, commissioning, and turnover — serving as the authoritative source of system readiness status across all assigned scopes

  • Validate contractor-provided data for accuracy and alignment with program milestones

  • Identify and escalate data gaps, discrepancies, and delays to the Construction Lead and project stakeholders

  • Produce clear system readiness dashboards and milestone summaries using Power BI — validated prior to issue

  • Prepare concise reporting and analytics aligned with PMO and governance reporting standards

  • Highlight milestone risks, schedule float impacts, and system readiness constraints emerging from tracker data

Turnover Coordination & Documentation

  • Define and manage acceptance criteria for system turnover — including equipment, documentation, and GMP/GDP compliance requirements

  • Receive, review, and verify completed turnover packages from contractors and project partners — confirming accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GMP/GDP requirements

  • Verify installation records, inspection and test records (ITRs), construction test packs (CTPs), weld records, vendor documentation, and quality dossiers prior to system acceptance

  • Maintain turnover tracking tools, documentation registers, and punch list systems

  • Support implementation of project turnover procedures, documentation workflows, and regulatory-compliant document retention processes

Mechanical Completion & Walkdown Coordination

  • Coordinate and schedule system MC walkdowns and inspections with construction, C&Q, engineering, contractors, and operations based on system readiness

  • Create, track, and manage punch lists — ensuring deficiencies are assigned, monitored, and closed in a timely manner

  • Flag systems nearing C&Q entry that have outstanding issues, deviations, or GMP risks requiring resolution

  • Plan, prioritize, and sequence system turnovers in alignment with project schedules and C&Q readiness milestones

Cross-Functional Coordination & Schedule Integration

  • Act as the central coordination point for turnover activities between construction, C&Q, contractors, engineering, and operations

  • Align system priorities with C&Q sequencing and operational readiness requirements

  • Provide validated system data to support schedule integration, reviews, and milestone planning

  • Coordinate with System Owners to track system risks, constraints, and dependencies

  • Support readiness meetings and flag systems impacting startup sequencing

  • Issue structured system updates aligned with the Construction Lead and Project Controls

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience supporting system turnover, commissioning, qualification, or construction projects in regulated industries — pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences required

  • Strong understanding of project controls, construction, and C&Q workflows — including system turnover, mechanical completion, and GMP documentation requirements on large-scale capital programs

  • Proficient in data management, tracker maintenance, and dashboard reporting — Power BI and SharePoint experience required

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of cross-discipline data accurately across concurrent workstreams

  • Demonstrated ability to identify risks, data gaps, and discrepancies — with clear and timely escalation to senior stakeholders

  • Familiarity with GMP/GDP requirements, project documentation systems, and quality documentation processes

  • Experience coordinating system walkdowns, punch list management, and system readiness activities

  • Effective communicator and collaborator across construction, engineering, commissioning, and operations disciplines

  • Degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline

Nice to Have

  • Direct experience on large-scale greenfield pharmaceutical or biotech capital programs

  • Familiarity with C&Q sequencing, CQV readiness planning, and operational handover processes

  • Experience working within formal PMO governance structures and reporting frameworks

  • Background in pharmaceutical GMP documentation control and regulatory compliance
