 Senior Research Associate, Medicinal Chemistry

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly motivated Temporary Senior Research Associate in Analytical Chemistry to support small-molecule drug discovery efforts within the Integrated Discovery Research team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in analytical and preparative chromatography to purify compounds, generate high-quality analytical data, and evaluate key physicochemical properties that inform drug discovery decisions

This position offers a hands-on opportunity to work with state-of-the-art instrumentation and contribute directly to advancing innovative oncology programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain analytical and preparative LC-MS and SFC systems.

  • Purify and isolate synthetic intermediates and final products using preparative HPLC and SFC methodologies.

  • Perform analytical characterization and quality control testing, including LC-MS, NMR, and chiral purity assessments.

  • Assist the development, optimization, and execution of physicochemical and stability assays.

  • Analyze, interpret and communicate experimental results to project teams.

  • Identify opportunities to improve laboratory workflows, automation, and operational efficiency.

  • Support general laboratory maintenance.

Required Skills, Experience and Education:

  • B.S. or B.A. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline.

  • Minimum of one year of post-graduation laboratory experience, including handling organic solvents and reagents.

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and critical thinking abilities.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with instrument software platforms such as Agilent, Waters, and Bruker.

  • Experience supporting purification and analytical workflows in small-molecule drug discovery.
