Job Description
Business Operations Analyst & Executive Assistant – Japan
Location: Tokyo Function: Commercial / General Management Support
The organization has a well-established presence in Japan’s molecular diagnostics and life science markets, operating through a hybrid direct-and-partner model. The Japan team focuses on workflow-driven solutions and strong channel collaboration to support customers across research, clinical, and applied segments.
Role Overview
This position supports senior commercial leadership in Japan by combining high?level executive assistance with hands?on business analysis and planning responsibilities. The role helps drive operational clarity, supports strategic discussions, and ensures that priorities and follow?ups move smoothly across functions.
Key Areas of Contribution

Business Analysis — Review performance data, financial indicators, and operational metrics to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.

Planning & Review Cycles — Support annual planning, budgeting, and monthly business reviews; consolidate inputs from commercial, finance, and operations teams.

Performance Insight — Build dashboards, summaries, and reports that help leadership understand progress against goals and highlight areas needing attention.

Executive Decision Support — Prepare briefing notes, recommendation summaries, and structured options for leadership discussions; track decisions and ensure follow?through.

Leadership Operations — Manage complex calendars, coordinate leadership meetings and workshops, prepare agendas and minutes, and support bilingual communication with regional and global teams.
Background & Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in bioscience or related field; business, finance, or management exposure preferred

5-8 years in business analysis, planning, operations, or executive support roles

Experience working in global or matrixed environments

Native Japanese and fluent English
