Senior Process Engineer – Buffer Preparation & CIP Systems
Position Summary
The Senior Process Engineer will provide technical ownership and engineering support for Buffer Preparation, Distribution, and Clean-in-Place (CIP) systems supporting biologics manufacturing operations. This role will focus on system readiness, troubleshooting, startup support, qualification coordination, and ongoing process optimization.
This position can accommodate candidates with strong process engineering experience even if they are not deep subject matter experts in every buffer operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support buffer preparation and distribution systems.
- Provide technical support for CIP and cleaning systems.
- Participate in startup, commissioning, qualification, and turnover activities.
- Coordinate with Manufacturing, CQV, Validation, Automation, and Engineering teams.
- Manage equipment and process-related technical issues.
- Support development and review of technical documentation.
- Assist with operational readiness activities.
- Manage vendor interactions and issue resolution.

Required Qualifications
- BS Engineering or related technical field.
- 8+ years of pharmaceutical or biologics manufacturing experience.
- Experience supporting:
- CIP systems
- Buffer preparation systems
- Manufacturing operations
- Strong troubleshooting and issue resolution capabilities.
- Experience supporting startup and qualification activities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Process engineering support in biologics manufacturing.
- Equipment ownership experience.
- Vendor management experience.
- Buffer preparation and cleaning system optimization experience.
