The successful candidate will perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities, troubleshoot equipment and facility systems, and support manufacturing operations in a highly regulated environment. While experience with process equipment is beneficial, it is not required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on facility and manufacturing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and utility systems to minimize operational downtime.
  • Execute maintenance activities in accordance with GMP requirements, SOPs, and safety procedures.
  • Accurately document maintenance work using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Support equipment reliability initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Facilities, and Quality teams to maintain compliance and operational readiness.
  • Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and maintenance projects as needed.
  • Maintain a safe and compliant work environment while adhering to all company and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of maintenance and/or facilities experience in a regulated industry.
  • Experience working in a biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or life sciences environment.
  • Working knowledge of GMP regulations and documentation practices.
  • Experience using a CMMS or similar maintenance management system.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment and facility-related systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a cGMP cleanroom environment, including aseptic manufacturing areas.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing operations within biotech or pharmaceutical facilities.
  • Background in multiple maintenance disciplines (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, or facilities maintenance).
  • Experience with automation systems, PLCs, or controls (nice to have).
  • Electrical maintenance experience (nice to have).
  • Experience supporting manufacturing processing equipment (preferred but not required).

Ideal Candidate

  • 3-5 years of maintenance or facilities experience in a biotech or pharmaceutical setting.
  • Strong understanding of GMP environments and compliance requirements.
  • Comfortable working in cleanroom and regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Team-oriented, dependable, and proactive in solving maintenance issues.
  • Interested in a long-term opportunity that may lead to permanent employment.

Note: This is an initial 6-month contract assignment with a high likelihood of extension. While the position may convert to a permanent role in the future, the current need is for a contractor. No Corp-to-Corp (C2C) arrangements will be considered.
