Regulatory Affairs Specialist

What You’ll Do:
As a key member of the DNA team, you will be responsible for conducting deep-dive data analyses, interpreting complex genetic data, and creating actionable outputs to enhance workflow efficiency. This role blends desk-based analysis with hands-on lab work, requiring a proactive approach and strong scientific insight. You will support multiple ongoing projects, collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to innovation in DNA research and process optimisation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Solid background in DNA analysis, ideally with academic experience in population genetics, DNA data analysis, or individual DNA profiling.
- Proven ability to perform detailed data exploration and generate meaningful insights, beyond relying solely on pre-existing pipelines.
- Experience with data upscaling, sample processing workflows, and laboratory techniques.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Comfortable balancing desk-based analysis with laboratory work in a collaborative setting.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively share findings and insights.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience in animal genetics or related fields.
- Familiarity with automation tools or innovative laboratory techniques.
- Previous experience working within biotech or research environments.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- PhD in a relevant scientific discipline (highly preferred).
- Candidates from Trinity College Dublin, University College Dublin, or similar institutions are encouraged to apply.
- Relevant industry experience, particularly within animal genetics or genetic research companies, will be considered.
